The Bible is the central religious text of Judaism and Christianity . The exact composition of the Bible is dependent on the religious traditions of specific denominations . Modern Judaism generally recognizes a single set of canonical books known as the Tanakh , or Hebrew or Jewish Bible. It comprises three parts: the Torah ("Teaching", also known as the Pentateuch or "Five Books of Moses"), the Prophets, and the Writings . It was primarily written in Hebrew with some small portions in Aramaic .

Who Is God - Father God or Mother Nature?

Who is God? What has He revealed about Himself? To begin with, whenever He refers to Himself in parental terms, He always addresses Himself as "Father," never "Mother." He calls Himself "a Father to Israel," and in one instance, when His "children" were particularly disrespectful to Him, He said to them, "A son honors his father, and a servant his master. If then I am the Father, where is My honor? And if I am a Master, where is My reverence?"

His prophets acknowledged Him as Father by saying, "You are our Father, we are the clay, and You our potter; And all of us are the work of Your hand," and "do we not all have one Father? Has not one God created us?" Never once does God refer to Himself as "Mother" and never once is He called such by the prophets to whom He spoke. Calling God "Mother Nature" is comparable to calling your earthly father "Mom."

The name

Jesus was a Jew. His Hebrew name is Yeshua, which means “salvation.” The Scripture plainly tells us that salvation is by Yeshua alone and there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved. An ancient rabbinic “word play” assigned to Him was Yeshu, meaning, “may his name and memory be blotted out.” This is what the modern, unbelieving world wants too – namely to forget Him. What is it about Yeshua that causes so many to bristle at His mere mention? You can discuss any of a long list of “religious luminaries” all the daylong and you might get a few yawns. If you want a passionate reaction, talk about Yeshua.
